Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We are all still sick, but it could be worse. We were very blessed at Christmas-all of us! We have a wonderful family! We are hoping that 2008 brings us better health!

Our Newest Addition!
So...after saying that I wasn't going to let it happen for awhile-I caved. Life is short or else he was just so cute that I couldn't resist! The name is later to come. This is a surprise for Emma.
There are pics to the right of the screen.

Bath Time!
So I wanted to post a pic of the girls in the bath b/c they love being in there together. It seems crazy to see Addie old enough to do that.

My Big Girls
Can you believe how big the girls have gotten! Addie is really developing a little personality and Emma is giving us a run for our money. So many people used to ask me if 3 is worse than 2 and I said yes, but then she was 4-you know the rest! She is a doll though! They just love each other so much!

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone-I know we are behind a little, but life is hectic this time of year. Addie is a horse and Emma was a devil! Enjoy!

Good Ole Cox South
For those of you who didn't know, I have been cooped up in the hospital for 9 days so far. I came in with pneumonia and I was having a thyroid storm. I had a high fever, delerious, cough, HIGH heart rate, increased liver enzymes, unable to take certain meds, and about anything else you can think of that is rare. They keep telling me that everything I have is rare, but I keep suprising them daily. I still don't feel good and am awaiting some test results. I just want them to figure it out already! My baby girls need me!

Chicago At Last
Soooooo........We survived Chicago! Everyone pretty much thought that I was crazy for taking the girls on vacation by myself since it included flying-but me made it. I thought I was going to have to take out a lady in the airport with her very own LV bag, but I restrained myself. I didn't think it would look good to get in a fight with 2 children-HA,HA!
While we were there, we took the kids to the Pumpkin Farm (nightmare bees), the Brookfield Zoo (FABULOUS), and to the mall. The zoo there is huge! It puts the little Dickerson Park Zoo to shame! Oh yeah, we also went to a restaurant named "All Aboard." A choo-choo train brings everyone their food. It was really cool!
Emma had a blast playing with Lily and Kaitlyn and Addie didn't know the difference! Addie did start sleeping longer through the night while we were there and is still doing so. Taking a trip is very stimulating for an infant.
Emma is already asking when we can go back. I think I will wait awhile and take Corey next time.

Emma starts Preschool
Emma just started preschool and loves it. I was so nervous that she wouldn't want to leave me, but quite the opposite. She really enjoys it and is learning a lot! She has her little buddy Hannah in her class and that really helped I think. Next week they are taking their first field trip and are going to the zoo! She can't wait!
Up To Speed
Addie just had her 4 month well visit and is doing great! She is 12 lbs. 10 oz. and 24 inches long. At this same age, Emma was 14 lbs. 12 oz. and 251/2 inches long. They are so different!
Addie has outgrown the reflux for the most part and is off of her medication. The doctor says that she is ready for some food now! The rice cereal helps with the reflux and we hope it helps with the sleeping. We will get back to you on that...not yet!

The First Milestone
Addie has started rolling over! She has rolled from her belly to back and is VERY close to rolling from her back to her belly. She gets around though-she can scoot on her back. I can't believe how much they grow and so quickly. It doesn't seem like she should be doing this stuff yet.
Rewind
So..........the second pregnancy has been uneventful up until 35 weeks. Thus it all begins again...I start developing high blood pressure, but it seems to be off and on. Then 36 weeks and it is still there, so I go on bedrest. What De Ja Vu! And does anyone know what it is like trying to rest when you have a 4 yr. old? Lets just say that at 37 weeks-we induced. Of course that was for medical reasons only, but had Dr. Stamps not decided this-I already had a speech prepared for him and pregnant women can be very convincing.
So I am taken straight over to the hospital and have already dilated some so they start the PIT! Who knew that it would be hours later and the next day before little Addison Rae Ellen was born. She weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 inches long. Just a little thing! She looked a lot like big sissy and Emma thought that was pretty cool.
The next few weeks are a complete blur. Addie, much like her sister, eats all the time. Every 2 hours to be exact and I mean you better be right on time!
Emma has done wonderful with being a big sister and sharing the attention. We couldn't have asked for her to be any more understanding. She loves her little sis!
As the weeks, or I should say, next couple of months go by-things get a little easier. She is still eating every 2 hours, but we have just adjusted our schedule. Next thing I am waiting for is some sleep!
